CreekSpeak examines giant reed

CALIFORNIA, Yolo County RCD — CreekSpeak, Putah Creek Council’s six-month series of community talks about the nature, culture and history, dives into local plant issues on Thursday, July 19, with “Giant Reed: A Growing Problem in Our Creeks…Yolo County Resource Conservation District executive director Heather Nichols and project manager Tanya Meyer will be the speakers. They work with local landowners to combine restoration practices with agricultural uses to find solutions that benefit people, habitats and wildlife.
