North Santiam Watershed Council will working to prevent future crisis

OREGON, Marion SWCD — The North Santiam Watershed Council is a non-governmental, non-regulatory body with the goal of improving the North Santiam River…Cities like Salem need it for drinking water, businesses like Norpac need it for production and landowners need it for farming. The purpose of the North Santiam Watershed Council is to save it…There are dozens of state, federal and local agencies such as Marion County Soil & Water Conservation District, Oregon Fish & Wildlife, the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service that have a say in the water quality of the North Santiam.
