Volunteers turn asphalt into green space at Tacoma’s Holy Rosary Bilingual Academy

WASHINGTON, Pierce CD — About 75 volunteers turned out Saturday to rip up 10,000 square feet of asphalt as part of a Pierce Conservation District Depave project. Eventually, the space at Holy Rosary Bilingual Academy will be turned into a nature garden and playing field.
