Teacher receives $10,000 award for ‘Spartan Seed to Feed’

WASHINGTON, Palouse CD – Lincoln Middle School science teacher Marla Haugen was recently awarded a $10,000 Innovation Grant award by the Pullman Education Foundation for her Spartan Seed to Feed project…Twelve raised beds with gravel pathways will be constructed with the help of students, volunteers from the Palouse Conservation District Americorps, Future Farmers of America, Boy Scout Troup 460 and other local service groups.
