Hugh Hammond Bennett: The Story of America’s Private Lands Conservation Movement

The Natural Resources Conservation Service has released a 21-minute video about Hugh Hammond Bennett and the creation of the Soil Erosion Service (now NRCS) and local conservation districts. If you are a conservationist, this video is worth your time.

HHB was a pivotal influence at a critical time in this country.  Without his work, the United States would likely be a different place today.  The work we do in conservation districts builds on the foundation he built.

Please share this video. Share it widely so that more may know what we do and why we do it.
